Welcome! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, with over 20 years of experience in the Mental Health field including Case Management. I am a helper by nature. I often am intrigued by with the "why factor", why I have made certain decisions as well as others. I love and enjoy being a counselor and helping my clients to gain insight into their lives past and present. I enjoy working with young adults, adults, and the geriatric population. I also have experience working with families.
My theoretical orientation is eclectic, some I enjoy are: Client Centered therapy, which allows clients to gain greater trust within him or herself, form healthier relationships, increase self esteem, and express their personal feelings and opinions. I enjoy incorporating Gestalt therapy which is a client- centered approach to psychotherapy, as well as Narative therapy in working with families. I have real life experiences of trauma and sudden life changes in addition to being a natural “people person” which helps me to develop rapport quickly with clients which is beneficial for the counselor/client relationships. I want my clients to know I am here to ensure they will grow and gain insight and enlightenment throughout their counseling process.
I commend you for the courage to seek professional help, just know you are supported and not alone!
Our focus is to help individuals heal, energize, and become aware of their inner strengths. We achieve this by providing a neutral safe space, listening to your concerns, and customizing a treatment plan.
